Your Free Typing Certificate
A typing certificate is a shareable record of a completed typing speed test. The free TestYourTyping certificate shows your net words per minute (WPM), typing accuracy, total keystrokes, test duration, and the date you took the test. Each certificate carries a unique verification ID so an employer or recruiter can confirm the result is genuine.
How to get a typing certificate
Take any timed test and your certificate is generated automatically when the timer completes — there is no sign-up and no fee. Choose the format that matches what you need:
- 1-minute typing test — the 60-second WPM benchmark most employers ask for.
- 3-minute typing test — a steadier measure of sustained speed and accuracy.
- 5-minute typing test — the longest test, best for proving consistency and endurance.
- ten-key data entry test — reports keystrokes per hour (KPH) for numeric data-entry roles.
How verification works
Every certificate includes a 12-character verification ID (for example, TYT-2026-X98Q2). Anyone can paste that ID into the search box at the top of this page to view the certificate’s WPM and accuracy, which makes the result easy to trust on a résumé or job application.
